The University of South Florida's top priority is the safety of all students, faculty, staff and visitors. The following information is intended to provide our community with the resources and Web links necessary in the event of a weather-related emergency.
During the course of an approaching hurricane or tropical storm, USF administrators remain in constant communication with local and state agencies to monitor the storm's track.
At the time of a weather emergency, all official notifications regarding university operations will be released through the USF Web site and on our toll-free information line at 800-992-4231. These official notifications will be updated at 9:00 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Further updates may be posted after 3:00 p.m. but only if there are changes or cancellations to report, otherwise the message will not be updated until 9:00 a.m. the following day. Local media will also be contacted with periodic updates, so you may also wish to monitor local media for additional information.
