
ABOUT ECONOMICS
The economics department offers courses at the bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. levels that concentrate on key issues such as health, unemployment, inflation, international trade, etc. The department offers the core economics courses in the undergraduate business program, a pre-law track, and offers core courses (as well as a specialized economics track) in the MBA program. The Ph.D. program focuses on applied microeconomics. The programs prepare students for careers in business, teaching, government, and law. The student group for economics majors is the Collegiate Economics Organization.
