
About Psychological & Social Foundations
Psychological & Social Foundations is a multi-dimensional department committed to excellence in multicultural competence, diversity in research methodology, and superior student and faculty professional development and practice.
The Department consists of five distinct program areas. The College Student Affairs program, the Counselor Education program, and the School Psychology program offer advanced degrees to prepare students for professional positions or advancement. The Educational Psychology program provides support to future teachers in applying research findings to the education process. The Social Foundations program provides support to future teachers by addressing the impact of social, economic and political developments upon schools.
Several Graduate Certificates are also available through the Department in the areas of Career Counseling, Diversity, Mental Health Counseling and Play Therapy.
