ABOUT the graduate school

The University of South Florida is committed to educating future generations of scholars, researchers, teachers, and professional leaders. USF offers 98 Graduate Certificates, 131 master's degree programs, two Education Specialist degree programs, and 39 doctoral and professional degree programs (including the Ph.D., Ed.D., Au.D., D.P.T., D.N.P., and M.D.)

A diverse student body spanning these programs enhances and enriches the graduate student educational and research experience. USF's graduate student body is growing both in quality and size with almost 9,000 graduate and professional students.

The university provides many meritorious graduate students with teaching and/or research assistantships offering competitive stipends and tuition reimbursement. Doctoral students are supported through a number of competitive and distinguished fellowships including the USF Presidential Fellowship, the McKnight Doctoral Fellowship, and the Robert F. Pride Doctoral Research Fellowship. Funds are also available to support conference participation and research activity.

As scholars and educators, the faculty are generating, translating, and disseminating new knowledge every day. Our faculty received more than $300 million in research grants last year.
