About Music Education
The USF Music Education Division is a visionary laboratory for the preparation of the next generation of music educators and scholars, and serves as a dynamic site for progressive and foundational teaching/learning and research in music education, within the context of contemporary life.
Comprehensive offerings in music education, at the University of South Florida, include the Bachelor of Science in Music Education, the Master of Arts in Music Education, and the Doctor of Philosophy in Music Education. All three degree tracks retain the traditional values of the profession while they prepare students for the challenges and realities of the twenty-first century classroom. Our masters degree is offered in a totally "at-a-distance" format. Classes are accessible via a convenient, asynchronous on-line design, which students can complete from almost anywhere in the world with a reliable internet connection.
