Welcome to the Office of the General Counsel
Our attorneys combine many years of service in higher education and look forward
to helping you navigate the legal issues inherent in a complex research
University. We provide legal advice and counsel to the University of South
Florida, which includes campuses located in Tampa, St. Petersburg,
Sarasota-Manatee and Lakeland. We supervise all legal services to ensure that
the best advice is consistently provided to USF and its direct support
organizations. We represent the USF Board of Trustees in various administrative
and judicial venues.

Mission
The team of attorneys and support staff in the Office of the General Counsel
work together to provide and ensure responsive, timely and accurate legal
advice and counsel to the University of South Florida including its component
units, direct support organizations and the Board of Trustees. We are
