Freshman Checklist

1. Activate Your NetID and USF email address

If you haven’t already, activate your NetID and USF email address (it will be used by all university offices for official communication).

2. Verify Your Contact Information

3. Submit Your Visa Documents

Submit all required documentation to USF International Services if you will be attending on a student visa (F-1 or J-1). These documents include but are not limited to: a copy of your passport, Affidavit of Financial Support, bank statements, etc.

4. Pay Admissions Deposit

You can pay your admission deposit online in one of two ways:

5. Explore and Accept Scholarships

Check out additional scholarship opportunities offered by USF. Most applications have a deadline of February 1. If you were awarded an admissions scholarship, be sure to accept your terms & conditions

6. Apply for Housing & Meal Plan

Freshmen aren’t required to live on campus, but are strongly encouraged to do so. Check out USF’s residence halls, then submit a housing application. You’ll select a meal plan as part of the application process.

7. Register for Orientation

Get ready to experience what it's like to be a USF student, through our mandatory Glo-Bull Beginnings program. This week-long program includes your orientation session and other events from International Services. Register now.

8. Submit Your Medical History

Download, complete and submit USF’s mandatory medical history form. Also, be sure to secure mandatory health insurance coverage and provide proof of this coverage by completing and submitting the insurance compliance form.

9. Submit Final Academic Credentials

Once you receive your final high school and/or dual enrollment transcripts, diploma and/or external exam results, submit them to the Office of International Admissions.

10. Review Tuition and Fees

Once you are registered for classes, check your tuition due (USF does not mail tuition bills).
