Essentials for Families We know that families are as excited as the students about the college application process. This is one of the first important decisions your student will make as a young adult, and we know that you want to offer guidance and support. We encourage you to use Essentials for Families to learn more about USF and to find the advice you seek. Most importantly, you can assist your student by making sure they do their "homework". They (and you) should be familiar with admission requirements, deadlines, financial aid process, and our "Tracking the Academic Progress of Students "(TAPS) initiative before applying. Once your student is admitted, the homework does not stop there. Applying for housing and registering for Orientation early can ease last-minute worries that you are bound to feel. One more critical chapter in your homework - be sure to visit campus with your student before making a final decision. We give you lots of opportunities. Check out Stampede to Success, Saturday Visits or come visit us. |
