Research for Transfers

The typical college experience is centered on CONSUMING knowledge. But what if you could CREATE it? At the University of South Florida, you can!

USF is a top 50 public research university with an impressive research enterprise. From developing clean sources of energy to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities, USF researchers seek to make the world a better place. As a USF student, you’ll have opportunities to join in their projects – or create your own!

Students are encouraged to pursue undergraduate research opportunities as early as their freshman year. And "research" here takes many forms, from classroom to community and laboratories to internships. Projects focus on local, national and global solutions to society's most difficult problems.

Research – It’s Not Just for Science and Engineering Majors

At USF, undergraduate research is for everyone, including majors from arts to business to social work. Our students tackle projects that solve problems in every discipline imaginable.

What’s in It for Me?
