Robert Hooker is an assistant professor in the marketing department, teaching courses in market research, marketing strategy and supply chain management.

His research examines the use of technology and innovation in marketing and supply chain management. Selected work on sustainability and open innovation has been published in journals including the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management and MIS Quarterly Executive. His article, "A Decade of SCM Literature: Past, Present, and Future Implications" in the Journal of Supply Chain Management, is one of the 10 most downloaded articles ever in that journal.

Professor Hooker has taught at Florida State University, before joining the USF System in 2011. Before pursuing an academic career, he spent several years in marketing and finance. He has a PhD in Business Administration, an MBA in Marketing and Supply Chain Management, and a B.S. in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance, all from Florida State University.
