Cyndy D. Sanberg is the internship director for the USF Muma College of Business, where she is raising awareness of student internships as well as building and expanding business relationships in the Tampa Bay area related to internships and other collaborative possibilities.
Before joining the Muma College of Business, Sanberg worked in medical and entrepreneurial ventures. She served as vice president of research & development for Saneron CCEL Therapeutics, a biotechnology R&D company. She also established national and international marketing and sales for Natura Therapeutic Inc., a nutritional products company, while also being involved in research and development. She has been a scientific reviewer for 15 scientific journals including Brain Research, Journal of Neuroscience, and Life Sciences.
Sanberg earned a doctorate in neurobiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio Cajal Neuroscience Research Program. Sanberg is a patent inventor and a charter member of the National Academy of Inventors. She has obtained more than 15 NIH-sponsored grants for adult stem cell research and four U.S.-issued patents.
