Do you want to hire highly qualified business students? The Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy's new internship course elective is a great place to start. It enables employers to connect with trained students who will gain work experience in accounting for credit.

The internship course consists of two components: an academic component that focuses on professional development skills and an on-site learning experience component. Prior to the on-site learning experience, students work on professional development skills that can translate to the on-site experience and their careers. The on-site experience is expected to average 10 hours per week for a total of 120 hours over the course of the semester and provide students with valuable industry experience and the ability to apply their knowledge of business/industry practices.

Unpaid internships will be accepted providing the company provides proof of liability coverage for the student. However, paid internships are common in accounting and will result in more student interest.
