Upcoming Events

Ultimate Accounting Bootcamp

August 17, 2017 | 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. | BSN 1201 | RSVP required

For current students. Come strengthen your core with Cainas's Ultimate Accounting Bootcamp. Spend your day reviewing familiar financial accounting topics that are covered in the Intermediate I course. This event provides not only a review of the basic, but a more in-depth coverage of the topics covered in class next semester and lunch.

Welcome Back Picnic

For current students, alumni, professionals and families. The Welcome Back Picnic is an annual event that is held each fall on a Saturday afternoon. It allows students, faculty, and professionals to welcome in the new school year, reunite with old friends, and meet new friends. This great kick off to the fall semester and a networking event sponsored by the Accounting Circle.

Corporate Connections

October 26 | 4:30-6:00 p.m. | BSN Atrium | More information

For current students. Corporate Connections is a networking event for graduate business students to meet with corporate representatives to discuss career opportunities. Informal discussions take place in a more relaxed environment than a typical career fair, and, while participants do not bring elaborate booths or materials, representative companies are typically hiring for internship positions and many have full-time positions available (and résumés are collected).

Graduation Reception

December 2017 | Gibbons Alumni Center | RSVP required

For graduating students and their families. The graduation reception recognizes students from the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy who have graduated during the Summer, Spring and Fall semesters. There are two receptions each year, one following the Spring semester to celebrate Spring graduates, and one in the Fall to celebrate Summer and Fall graduates. This event is sponsored by the Accounting Circle.

Accounting Circle CPE Conference

May 17-18, 2018 | USF Marshall Center

For alumni and professional partners. The Accounting Circle Conference Committee welcomes USF alumni and friends to its annual conference. Participants at this hands-on continuing professional education conference will qualify for CPE credits. This event is hosted by the Accounting Circle and made possible by many generous sponsors. For the first time, the conference will be hosted on USF's Tampa Campus at the Marshall Student Center.

Spring Orientation

January 14 | 5:00-6:00 p.m. | BSN 1100

For newly admitted accounting majors. The Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy welcomes its new accounting majors! The spring orientation is designed to give new students a general overview of the accounting program and what they should expect. New accounting majors will also get the chance to ask questions to the Student Success Adviser and meet with the school's director.

Ultimate Accounting Bootcamp

Bulls Unite- High School Outreach

March 4 & 25 | 2:30-4:30 p.m. | USF Marshall Student Center

For prospective students. Participants at this half-day conference to explore why accounting is the "language of business" and learn about the many career paths made possible with an accounting degree. USF alumni and business leaders from the local community participate in panel discussions related to the field.

CPA Exam Workshop

October 7 | 4:00-6:30 p.m. | BSN 221, Dean's Board Room

For current students and alumni. Participants at this workshop will learn more about the CPA exam registration process, review sample questions, and discuss study tips and tricks. The workshop will also inform students about the regulatory requirements to become a CPA in Florida. This event is sponsored by the Accounting Circle. RSVP is required

Master of Accountancy Information Session

September 26 | 5:00-6:00 p.m.. | BSN 120

For potential graduate students. It's not too early to begin thinking about your plans post-graduation. Have you considered getting your Master of Accountancy degree? Are you unsure of the difference between completing a "5th year" for CPA eligibility and pursuing the graduate accountancy degree at USF? We encourage prospective students to attend our information session to learn more about the program. Staff and faculty from the Lynn Pippenger School will be presenting and taking your questions.
