Sport & Entertainment Management
William A. Sutton, EdD, who was previously at the DeVos Sport Business Management Graduate Program at the University of Central Florida, joined USF to direct the Sport and Entertainment Management program. A distinguished academician and proven sports-marketing practitioner, Sutton's body of work includes notable academic appointments and extensive industry experience, including serving as VP of TMBO for the National Basketball Association.
Our Associate Director
Michael Mondello comes to USF as an associate professor in the Management Department after spending 12 years on the faculty at Florida State University where he served as professor in the Department of Sport Management. Prior to FSU, Mondello also served on the faculty at the University of Florida. He holds PhD and master's degrees from the University of Florida and a BS from the University of South Florida.
Michelle Harrolle comes to the Department of Sport and Entertainment Management from North Carolina State University, where she was a faculty member in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management. She holds PhD, master's, and bachelor's degrees from the University of Florida. Harrolle, who has been published in a number of journals including the Journal of Sport Management, also has years of experience in the sport industry. She was Aquatics Director at Providence College; swimming coach at Providence College, Florida State University, and The Ohio State University; and recently, was the director of a Tampa Memorial Golf Tournament from 2003-2007.
