Student Spotlight - Lindsay Berstling

Although just a sophomore at USF, Lindsay Berstling has already begun making a name for herself in the College of Business. Last spring, while a freshman, Berstling bested a group of more than 30 students (many of whom were juniors and seniors), to place second in the College of Business Elevator Competition, which gave students the length of an elevator ride to present their "perfect pitch" to judges.

Berstling, an international business major, is a member of the Bulls Business Community, a living-learning community for high-achieving students in the College of Business. She is also a part of the elite Business Honors Program, the USF's Honors College, and is involved in several organizations, including Women in Business, the International Business Board, and the French Club. This past semester, she was invited to be a guest speaker during the annual College of Business Scholarship Luncheon.

"I never expected to be this involved, but the College of Business has afforded me so many opportunities. Through the BBC, I have been able to go on company tours and the get a behind the scenes look at several businesses. I've been able to learn about proper business etiquette and professional dress, and I've been able to network with CEOs, CFOs, and COOs of companies. It's opportunities like these that will really help prepare me for today's business world."

During her junior year, Berstling, who is fluent in French, hopes to study abroad in France.
