Student Spotlight - Shivam Patel

Shivam Patel

Shivam Patel, a senior in the Business Honors Program, has distinguished himself throughout his college career as an outstanding student – and more.

Patel has been on the dean's list for three straight academic years and is the recipient of three College of Business Scholarships, but he is more than just a great student. Patel has pursued a well-rounded experience at USF through involvement with the community and student organizations and through studying abroad. Patel is a co-founder of The Business Honors Service Organization and served as its president in 2012. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society for business students, as well as a member of the Corporate Mentor Program in the College of Business, which supports students who are the first generation in their families to attend college. Patel also spent this past spring studying in the Netherlands at the University of Haarlem.

As an outstanding member of the Business Honors Program it is no surprise that Patel recently received a fulltime offer from Goldman Sachs, one of the most prestigious and selective Wall Street finance firms, after working there as an intern the past two summers.

The Business Honors Program is proud that Patel is a member of the first graduating cohort this spring.
