Business Economics Major

Economics offers a clear and logical approach to business decision making. The department offers broad course choices allowing students to tailor their programs to provide training for careers in business as well as teaching, government, and law.

Requirements for the Major

In addition to university degree and business core requirements, students must complete 21 credit hours in economics courses.

Required Courses (9 credit hours)

The following courses are required courses that must be taken by all economics majors:

ECO 3101 Intermediate Price Theory (three credit hours)
ECO 3203 Intermediate Macroeconomics (three credit hours)
Business Economics Electives (15 credit hours)

Students should see an advisor for an approved list of upper level area studies courses.
