Welcome!campus rec building

Campus Recreation is one of the programs and services coordinated under the Division of Student Affairs. The Director of Campus Recreation is responsible for the administration of intramural sports, fitness programs, outdoor recreation, special events, and the Campus Recreation facilities.
On and off the field, the University of South Florida's Campus Recreation Department has every thing you need to go farther and reach higher in an athletic and recreational  fitness environment. Offering an array of services and activities for student, faculty, staff and their family members, we are at "the center of it all." With our friendly staff, convenient hours and our multitude of activities, you won't be disappointed.

With over 6,500 square feet of weight room area the campus recreation center has many fitness opportunities and services just waiting for you to enjoy. The center has 22 selectorized machines, 13 plate loading machines, a full line of free weight equipment, over 11,000pounds in dumbbells and over 30 cardiovascular machines. A stretching area with mats is another amenity that is offered, along with a treadwall for rock climbing enthusiasts. There are student fitness trainers on staff that can assist you with any questions you have relating to proper machine use, spotting for safety or beginning a new workout regimen.

In addition to the weight room area, there are six indoor racquetball courts, four basketball courts or six volleyball courts and three aerobics/dance rooms. There is also a martial arts mat room where karate, self-defense and other martial arts classes are held. For your convenience we also offer student and staff locker room facilities. Sport equipment is also accessible for checkout with proper student or staff identification through our equipment room located in our downstairs lobby.

Another extra that draws students to the Campus Recreation Center is our spacious and comfortable student lounge. Accompanying the student lounge is a Smoothie King juice center. They offer a variety of fruit smoothies and vitamin supplements at an affordable rate.
