About Cooperative Education
Cooperative Education (Co-op) is a course administered by Career Services that integrates hands-on, paid, career-related work experience with your student's academic program and provides valuable training in your students chosen career field. Cooperative Education training is offered part-time or full-time. Access to the course is by permit only.
Why should your students Co-op?
- To gain valuable, paid career-related experience in their chosen career field
- Have access to an exclusive pool of pre-screened employers and positions
- To work alongside industry professionals committed to mentoring and developing young professionals
- Their experience will be documented on their official academic transcripts (for "0" credits, graded Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory)
Due to the Co-op interviewing and selection process, it is important that your students adhere to the application timeline. To maximize opportunities it is best to let your students know they need to apply at the beginning of the application period.
