Internships & Co-op
Internships provide valuable career-related work experience and a chance to test out your career choice. Internships may be paid or unpaid, and have the option for credit. While paid, not-for-credit internships may begin anytime during the semester, internships for credit are linked to the academic calendar. Awarding credit for an internship is at the discretion of the academic department and not administered by Career Services.
Cooperative Education (Co-op)
Co-op is a permit only course administered by Career Services that integrates hands-on, paid, career-related work experience with your academic program and provides you with valuable training in your chosen career field. Co-op allows you to access to an exclusive pool of pre-screened employers and positions, be supervised and mentored by professionals in your field, and have experience documented on your official academic transcripts.
