The Department of Africana Studies faculty members are nationally recognized scholars who provide a strong intellectual foundation for our students while also preparing them for careers in a broad range of professions. The Africana Studies curriculum facilitates the development of critical thinking skills while also challenging students to explore new ideas, seek new connections and become actively engaged in the global community.
