The Finance major provides a broad-based, analytical program for students anticipating a career in the management of both large and small organizations. Using basic principles from the fields of accounting, economics, and statistics, the curriculum emphasizes quantitative analysis and state-of-the-art financial management techniques. Students are exposed to theory and practice in corporate finance, financial institutions, investments, international finance, speculative markets, insurance, real estate, and other related innovations. The finance major prepares students for careers in business and/or postgraduate work by educating them in the fundamental principles and practical applications of modern financial analysis.
