Overview

Ph.D. in Aging Studies

The Ph.D. in Aging Studies program is a campus-wide, interdisciplinary research training program, hosted by the School of Aging Studies and governed by faculty from throughout the USF campus.

Master of Arts Program

Gerontology is the study of the process of human aging in all its aspects: physical, psychological, and social. In the School of Aging Studies, particular emphasis is placed on educating students who, in their professional careers, will work to sustain or improve the quality of life of older people.

Undergraduate Programs

Aging Sciences is the study of the process of human aging in all its many aspects: physical, psychological and social. In the School of Aging Studies particular emphasis is placed upon applied aging, with the goal of educating students who in their professional careers will work to sustain or improve the quality of life in older persons.

Certificates

The School of Aging Studies has initiated several certificate programs designed to supplement its existing BS, MA and Ph.D. offerings. These programs are designed to serve the needs of persons interested in aging, but not seeking a degree in this area of study.
