The College of Education at the University of South Florida (USF) was recognized as no. 29 in the nation for its online graduate education programs, according to the 2017 rankings released this week by the U.S. News and World report.

U.S. News and World Report evaluates several factors to rank the best online education degree programs, including faculty credentials, graduation rates and student services and technologies. In 2016's edition of the rankings list, the College of Education was ranked no. 36.

This spring, the College of Education plans to add 15 new online courses to its growing number of graduate degrees and certificate programs, said Dr. Roger Brindley, Interim Dean of the USF College of Education.

"Climbing seven places to inside the top 30 reflects the commitment of the College of Education to increase access to quality graduate education," Brindley said. "Our online programs use the latest digital literacies to create an absorbing and interactive academic experience as our students work with their instructor and with their classmates to complete each course. We are proud that U.S. News & World Report recognizes the stimulating variety of coursework available to our graduate students online."
