Master of Education

Overview

Ideal for: Students seeking a Master’s degree who are certified/licensed or have professional experience

The Masters in Education (M.Ed) program is designed for professional educators who are already certified to teach English, usually at the middle or high school level who wish to pursue advanced study. The primary objective is to prepare instructional leaders through courses in curriculum, methods, supervision, learning principles, human interaction, and areas of specialization. Professional studies receive greater emphasis in the M.Ed programs than in the Master of Arts (MA) program.
