Degree Programs

Bachelor of Science

The Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Student Education prepares teachers to work with children who have emotional and behavioral disorders, intellectual disabilities, and specific learning disabilities.

Master of Arts in Teaching

The Master of Arts in Teaching in Exceptional Student Education is designed for individuals who earned a bachelor's degree in a field outside of education and who do not already hold a professional teaching certificate. On completion of the programs, students will have a master's degree and will be eligible to apply for their state of Florida teacher certification in Exceptional Student Education.

MA in Exceptional Student Education

The Master of Arts (MA) degree in Exceptional Student Education offers specializations in behavior disorders, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and exceptional student education.

Doctoral Concentration

The Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Special Education focuses on urban special education, special education policy, and university-school partnerships in preparing researchers, teacher educators, and educational leaders. 

Graduate Certificates

Our graduate certificate programs are designed to provide you with valuable educational experience in a more accessible, focused format than traditional graduate degree programs. Certificates generally take one to two years to complete and their courses can often be applied to USF graduate programs.
