Chalk & Wire ePortfolio

Overview

Foreign Language/ESOL Education Program Requirement

Chalk & Wire is a requirement for all Foreign Language Education students. This does not apply to graduate certificates and non-degree seeking students.

As a nationally and state-approved program, the Foreign Language and ESOL Education Program at the USF College of Education have established critical tasks that students must satisfactorily complete. These critical tasks are aligned with the Pre-Professional Benchmarks for the Accomplished Practices. A number of required College of Education courses (not courses in other colleges) will have assignments identified as “Critical Tasks.”

The only process by which you will meet the reporting requirements is through the creation of an ePortfolio. You will be required to use the software Chalk and Wire to do this. The College of Education offers a full support system of seminars, e-mail inquiries, a walk-in help center, and phone assistance to assist you in learning the system and completing the ePortfolio.

Most importantly, please review the FLE/ESOL ePortfolio Policies and be sure to meet all deadlines and expectations.

See Chalk & Wire Set up instructions for a step-by-step guide to setting up your FLE/ESOL Chalk & Wire ePortfolio.
