Master of Education - Foreign Language

Overview

The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, Secondary Education with a Concentration in Foreign Language Education is a minimum of 33 semester hours. This program is designed for professional educators specializing in Foreign Language/ESOL who wish to pursue advanced study. The M.Ed. allows students to select courses in their specialization inside the College of Education or from other colleges at USF.

The Foreign Language Education program administers a comprehensive exam to evaluate each student’s ability to apply the knowledge gained through coursework taken in the College of Education and in the student’s area of specialization. The examination will be coordinated through the FLE faculty advisor. Students will select three questions to answer from a collection of questions reflecting the content of courses taken, excluding electives.
