USF Bachlor of Science in Science Education

Offered on USF's Tampa campus

Designed for those who have a passion for science and technology, USF's Science Education Program prepares aspiring teachers to use research, theory, and science content knowledge to help their students explore how the world around them—and how it works.

Courses in the program highlight the importance of science in living, working, leisure, global competitiveness and resolution of personal and societal problems.

Students in the Science Education Program select a concentrated area of study in either biology, chemistry or physics and participate in field experiences in that area, working alongside collaborating teachers in secondary school settings.


What Can I Do with this Degree?

Graduates of this program are competitive applicants for positions such as:

  • Science Teacher (grades 6-12)
  • STEM Specialist
  • Environmental Conservation Educator
