Master of Arts in Teaching

Overview

The Master of Arts in Teaching program enrolls students who hold an appropriate bachelor’s degree in a field other than Education. The program of study leads to both a master’s degree and recommendation for initial grades 6-12 social studies teacher certification in the state of Florida. Applicants are expected to have significant undergraduate work in at least one (preferably more) social studies teaching fields (e.g., history, civics or government, geography, economics).
