Dr. Kate Boney
Dr. Kate Boney, Ph.D., Clinical Education Coordinator
Dr. Kate Boney is the Clinical Education Coordinator for the College of Education. In her role, Dr. Boney provides leadership and coordination to all teacher certification programs in order to collaboratively build and sustain quality clinical experiences as well as assure that all completers demonstrate professional standards within the clinical experience. In her role, Dr. Boney works closely with program coordinators, program faculty, school and district partners, the Office of Continuous Improvement Support, Student Academic Services, the Assistant Dean of Educator Preparation and Partnerships, and department chairs.
Dr. Boney earned her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Florida. Her professional experiences as a public school teacher, school-university partnership liaison, grant manager, university instructor, clinical educator, field experiences coordinator, and teacher education researcher represent a commitment to quality teacher preparation and reflect her passion for developing meaningful professional learning opportunities through clinical education partnerships.
