Research is at the center of the student and faculty experience in the College of Education. Designated as a “Preeminent State Research University,” the Tampa campus is one of the nation’s top public research university campuses and one of only 56 public research university campuses classified by the Carnegie Foundation as both a Doctoral University with “Highest Research Activity” and as a “Community Engaged” institution by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.

The College of Education strives to enhance faculty research and scholarly productivity, with a focus on contributing to high impact publication outlets and relevant faculty awards within professional disciplines. Each year, our faculty publish hundreds of scholarly works and publications that showcase our impact in local communities and throughout the world.

Researchers in the College of Education regularly engage in interdisciplinary research with collaborators from across the field of education. To gain hands-on experience, our students have opportunities to collaborate with faculty mentors on innovative projects that tackle some of the greatest challenges facing the education field.
