The David C. Anchin Center seeks to develop educators and PK-12 students' global perspectives
including an understanding of social, environmental, economic, and political issues
worldwide. As inservice and preservice teachers try to globalize their practice, they
learn about the responsibilities they have related to developing global competence
in themselves and their students. The goal is to become active global citizens. It
is through global education that teachers and children find their place in the world
around them. This work requires socially responsible collaboration between universities,
schools and classrooms from around the world.
