The University of South Florida (USF) is a leader in initiating change towards improving Florida's future. The Community Sustainability Partnership Program (CSPP) is an initiative that allows communities to provide leadership through sustainable efforts. CSPP harnesses USF resources, faculty expertise, and student innovation to create change through community-identified projects. These collaborations are at the forefront of solving important issues in sustainability that strengthen Florida communities.
Through a cross-disciplinary approach to problem solving, USF faculty and students help community partners find innovative and effective solutions to today's complex social, economic, and environmental challenges. Example project topics include, but are not limited to, multi-modal transportation, sustainable development, public health, social equity, and environmental integrity.
USFs Community Sustainability Partnership Program is modeled after the successful Sustainable Cities Initiative at the University of Oregon, and is a member of the Educational Partnerships for Innovation in Communities Network (EPIC-N).
