Dmitry Goldgof named Fellow of American Association for the Advancement of Science

Dmitry Goldgof has been named to the new class of Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world's largest and one of its most prestigious scientific societies. Election as an AAAS Fellow is an honor bestowed upon AAAS members by their peers. This year 391 members have been awarded this honor by AAAS because of their scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science or its applications. The tradition of AAAS Fellows began in 1874.

Dmitry Goldgof was elected AAAS Fellow in the Information, Computing, and Communication Section for distinguished contributions to the fields of computer vision, pattern recognition and biomedical applications, particularly in biomedical image analysis.
