Formula SAE® is a collegiate competition to conceive, design, fabricate, and compete with small formula-style racing cars. The restrictions on the car frame and engine are limited so that the knowledge, creativity, and imagination of the students are challenged. The cars are built with a team effort over a period of about one year and are taken to the annual competition for direct judging and comparison with approximately 120 other vehicles, and indirectly with over 500 vehicles, from colleges and universities throughout the world.
USF Racing is open to any USF student. The shop is located on the Tampa campus next to Parking and Transportation Services. The shop is open nearly every afternoon working on the year's design and manufacturing. New member meetings are held throughout the year and those meetings are announced on the website and Facebook page.
You do NOT have to be an engineering major to be a part of our team, we are open to all majors and there are no dues or fees to join.
