While business majors typically fare well in these competitions, students from all disciplines who are interested in building entrepreneurial skills are invited to apply. Regardless of their background, the program helps students build their skills that have a positive impact on the world. Students also develop the entrepreneurial mindset which includes creativity, innovation, and a unique ability to see opportunities in the world differently.

WHAT IS THE Pitch Comprised of?

This competition consists of 3 to 5 minute presentations of a business concept. You will be encouraged to use Microsoft PowerPoint (Google Slides is not acceptable). Winners will be selected by the judging panel following the presentations. Contestants should be prepared for questions by the judges.

A well-defined pitch should include a clear definition of an unmet business need, your approach to solving this challenge, and how this will positively impact your customers and community. Your challenge is to successfully convey the importance of your concept to the world in an actionable way.
