Dominican Republic Trip

Twice annually, USF Judy Genshaft Honors College students travel to Sosúa, Dominican Republic, for a 10-day immersive experience in culture and global health.

Teams of students will live with local Dominican families while volunteering at mobile medical clinics or contributing to the construction of sustainability projects to increase food security. Students also have the opportunity to shadow physicians in the clinics, and learn about global health, Dominican culture, and Spanish language from Dr. Reginald Kerolle and instructors working with the Kerolle Initiative.

You can learn more about this opportunity on the university's Education Abroad website or our study abroad page.
