Honors Orientation

Tampa Campus

Starting in May, incoming USF Judy Genshaft Honors College students who have officially registered for university orientation on the Tampa campus will be contacted directly by an Honors advisor to schedule an appointment to discuss first semester courses and the Honors curriculum. Please check your official USF email address regularly for important updates and information. Students who register for orientation after May, please allow two weeks for your Honors advisor to contact you.

St. Petersburg Campus

Starting in April 14, incoming USF Judy Genshaft Honors College students who have officially registered for university orientation on the St. Petersburg campus will be invited to the Judy Genshaft Honors College Pre-Orientation Course on CANVAS. Once we receive your completed Student Information Form indicating you completed your Honors pre-orientation course, your Honors advisor will reach out to you via your USF e-mail to schedule your Honors orientation and advising appointment. Please check your official USF email address regularly for important updates and information.

Sarasota-Manatee Campus

Information regarding Honors orientation will be shared via email in early June 2023. Please look out for an email from Dr. Lanier to your USF email account for details.

Additional information

The Honors orientation and advising appointment is not associated with your official USF first year orientation date (i.e., you may be registered for university orientation in July or August, but you may be meeting with your Honors advisor in June).  The Honors orientation and advising appointment will be virtual, so you do not need to be present on campus.
