Leadership in Developing Human Resources
The Leadership in Developing Human Resources Graduate Certificate offers professionals the opportunity to focus their studies on the human resource development needs of individuals and groups in a variety of employment settings. Individuals with this specialization may find employment opportunities in business and industry, community colleges and higher education, government, professional and trade associations, public organizations, and volunteer agencies.
This graduate certificate program is offered at the Tampa and Sarasota campuses.
The requirements for admission to this certificate are as follows: Students must possess a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students who are currently seeking a master's degree may also be considered.

15 credit hours There are six (6) credit hours of required coursework:
- ADE 6385 - The Adult Learner (3)
- ADE 6160 - Program Management in Adult Education (3)
Select nine (9) credit hours of elective coursework from the following list:
- ADE 6370 - Human Resource Development (3)
- ADE 6360 - Methods of Teaching Adult Education (3)
- ADE 6161 - Curriculum Construction in Adult Education (4)
- ADE 6198 - Effective Continuing Education for Professional Groups (3)
- EME 6055 - Current Trends in Educational Technology (3)
- ADE 6946 - Practicum in Adult Education (2-4)
- EDH 6051 - Higher Education in America (3)
- EDH 7225 - Curriculum Development in Higher Education (3)
Credit toward Graduate Degree
Up to 12 hours of certificate course credits may be applied to a graduate degree with departmental approval
International students must submit a TOEFL score when English is not the native language. A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test or 79 on the web-based test is required.
