INTO North America IT Conference Gives Back to Tampa Community

Participants of the 4th Annual INTO North America IT Conference had the chance to give back to the local community this past January. The group took some time away from the conference to lend a hand to Habitat for Humanity and their volunteer project leaders at a housing project in Tampa, Florida.

The opportunity was a first for the group of 18 volunteers, who chose Habitat for Humanity because of its "visible impact to the community" says Jaime Moore, Director of North America Systems, INTO University Partnerships. "They are also very friendly and outgoing". The group worked hard to bring the nearly completed house to life, taking on tasks including cutting wood, installing cabinets and floorboards, caulking and spackling.

Team building was also an important part of the day, as the group included colleagues from all over North America and the United Kingdom, representing teams such as Sales, Integration, Reporting, Infrastructure and IT/Finance. It gave them a rare opportunity to work with one another and build strong relationships.

The experience was very rewarding to the group, who plans to go back next year. "All in all it was a tremendous team building activity and one which left a lasting impression on all of us," shared Katie Granger, Salesforce Systems Manager.
