NEW USF wireless network, eduroam, now available
This summer, the USF System joined the eduroam international roaming service. eduroam is a network of higher education and research organizations that provides students, researchers and faculty/staff with a secure, easy to use network across member institutions.
As a result of this membership, USF community members will notice a new wireless network (SSID) called ‘eduroam’ effective immediately. This secure, encrypted option will eventually replace USF-GOLD (the current secure encrypted option).
Faculty, Staff and Students can begin using eduroam immediately by connecting to wireless using ‘USF’ and then visiting: usf.edu/netconnect to run the automated onboarding tool.
Look for more information on the final cut-over and replacement of USF-GOLD later this year.
USF and USF-Guest unencrypted options will remain available after the final transition to eduroam.
