IT Strategic Plan
The IT Strategic Plan outlines the priorities that will guide IT investments and operations in support of the mission and goals of the USF System, including the four institutions: USF Tampa (including USF Health); USF St. Petersburg; USF Sarasota-Manatee; and USF in Lakeland for 2010 -2015.

access to many different types of mobile devices, and expect to be able to study anytime,
and anywhere. Complex research is possible with high performance computers and advanced
The current economic climate and budget constraints require administrative processes to be automated and systems to be streamlined and integrated, providing access to key information for effective decision making. Students, faculty, staff, and our communities demand a high performing technology organization, delivering customer focused services and solutions to enable their success.
The IT organization within the USF System is also undergoing a transformation. Historically, IT resources operated under a highly distributed model. With the appointment of the System VP of IT in 2008, IT began consolidating common technology services and solutions into a centralized function to save costs by leveraging economies of scale and establishing standards. At the same time, IT also recognizes that each institution with in the USF System has unique and differentiated needs, missions, and goals, and therefore aims to establish the appropriate balance to effectively meet the needs of all USF System institutions ensuring creativity and innovation.
