STAC Charter

The USF System Student Technology Advisory Council (STAC) will serve as a system-wide forum for the discussion of all technology-related issues of interest to the students of the University of South Florida.  The Council will serve as advisory council and make recommendations as to requirements and priorities to the System Vice President for Information Technology on technology-related items across the USF System.  These inputs may go before the University Technology Standards Board and / or the Information Technology Management Council.

Membership: The USF System Student Technology Advisory Council shall consist of representatives from all campuses and includes representatives as follows:

USF Tampa
        Student Government President or designee
        Student Government Senate President or designee
        Two Students At Large (Freshman and Transfer Student)
        Representative from Student with Disabilities Services   

USF Health (appointed by Vice President USF Health)
        College of Medicine Representative
        College of Public Health Representative
        College of Nursing Representative

USF in Lakeland
        Student Government President or designee
        Student Government Vice President or designee

USF St. Petersburg:
        Student Government President or designee
        Student Government Senate President or designee

USF Sarasota-Manatee:
    Student Government President or designee
    Student Government Vice President or designee
    Graduate Student:
    Graduate Student Government President or designee
    Graduate Student Government Vice President or designee

Facilitator:  Chair - System Vice President for Information Technology and CIO (non-voting)

Supporting Personnel (non-voting):  Assoc. Vice President of Information Technology, Director of IT Financial Management, Administrative Assistant to the Vice President.  

Meetings:  The USF System Student Technology Advisory Council will meet twice each fall and spring semester.  The USF System Student Advisory Council shall establish a schedule of meeting times which shall be most advantageous for the participation of all representatives.  The Council will use electronic means for the dissemination of information and discussion of issues in order progress without the need for in-person meetings.  A portal will be established by the Division of Information Technology in order to facilitate the work of the Council.

The Facilitator shall preside over the meeting and will work with the representative to solicit items for the development of relevant agendas.  The Facilitator and supporting personnel will provide support and documentation of the STAC meetings and proceedings.
