Research Computing, a department within Information Technology, has been established to promote the availability of advanced computing resources essential to effective research and instruction at the University of South Florida. Research Computing supports a state-of-the-art 6000 processor cluster computer, scientific software administration, software tools, and training for both faculty and students.
Advanced Visualization Center
The Advanced Visualization Center has been established to provide faculty, staff and students at USF with an advanced technology resource for creation visualizations supporting pedagogy and research. The center supports an ultra-high resolution 3D display in its auditorium and a computer visualization lab with 3D workstations and a portfolio of visualization software. In the fall of 2013 the center will be adding 3D printing capabilities.
