Faculty/Staff Email Delivery Delays

UPDATE - Jan 9, 2015 - 3:40pm :

USF is experiencing a problem with our anti-spam service which has caused a delay for email arriving from external sources, including student gmail accounts.  Email sent to faculty and staff this afternoon (1/9/15) may be delayed.  Internal email between faculty and staff is not affected.  IT is working with vendor support to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Jan 8, 2015 - 12:30pm:

Yesterday (1/8/15), USF experienced a problem with our anti-spam service which has caused a delay for email arriving from external sources, including student gmail accounts. The problem has been resolved; however, email sent to faculty and staff over the past 24 hours may be delayed.

Internal email between faculty and staff is not affected.

Email sent from this point forward from external sources or students is being processed normally and should arrive as usual. The backlog from yesterday is in the process of clearing. Faculty and staff should expect to see the delayed email arrive in their mailbox throughout the afternoon and evening.
