Services

Work at Home

The Work at Home Feature allows employees to work from home as if they were in their own office. An internet connection is required such as Road Runner or FiOS from Verizon.

The first feature will allow an employee to have a Voice over IP phone at home programmed with a USF telephone number and dial tone, utilizing the same features and functionality that are found at the USF campuses.

The second feature is an advanced voice mail system called Modular Messaging that will allow you to send unanswered calls to a mailbox, have calls follow you to another extension or cell phone number, and also allow you to receive faxes.  All this can be accessed and administered through Outlook on your PC. See Modular Messaging for more detail.

Phones at Home

There are two scenarios that are ready for immediate deployment:

There is a 3rd scenario: An employee has a standard (non-IP) phone on their desk but also wants to work from home.  This scenario will require a site survey by an IT Technician to find out what it will take to change your standard office phone to an IP phone.  Contact your Voice and Data Communications Specialists for more details.

Telecommuter

IT will provide the customer with a duplicate of their existing VoIP phone, a router, patch cord and simple instructions on how to install and activate the phone.

Monthly Recurring Charge (MRC) for this feature:

*These charges are in addition to the MRC charges for your office.

Remote Office

IT will provide the customer with a VoIP phone, their own DID telephone number, a router, patch cord, and simple instructions on how to install and activate the phone.

Monthly Recurring Charge (MRC) for this feature:

Customers should never use this phone to make a 911 call.  All USF telephone numbers and dial tones come from the USF local Central Office and can only reflect the USF address in the 911 database.
