Kingian Non-Violence

kingian

Kingian Nonviolence is a philosophy and methodology that provides the knowledge, skills, and motivation necessary for people to pursue peaceful strategies for solving personal and community conflicts.

In collaboration with the University of Rhode Island and Emory University, Jim Walter Partnership Center kicked off its first Kingian Nonviolence training in spring 2010. The initial training included distinguished community, law enforcement, and government leaders in an effort to promote Kingian Nonviolence principles and strategies throughout local public, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations. The Kingian Nonviolence Program has been successful in training multiple community leaders and residents. Since its inception, JWPC has trained over 100 community, government, and faith-based leaders in the Tampa Bay region.
