Accreditation

Educational Sites

The establishment and monitoring of off-campus instructional sites are governed by Florida Board of Governors Regulation, 8.009, Educational Sites, and the USF Policy on Educational Sites 10-235. The USF Board of Trustees has authorized the USF System President to establish or close most off-campus instructional sites. The System President is also charged with monitoring the enrollment at these sites.

The establishment of an off-campus instructional site must also be cross referenced with the SACSCOC policies on reporting substantive changes. More specifically, off-campus sites must be reported as a substantive change when the following conditions are met:

  1. An off-campus site offers 25-49% of the credit hours required for a degree. This must be reported as a "Procedure Two" Substantive Change prior to the point at which the 25% level is reached.
  2. An off-campus site offers 50% of the credit hours required for a degree. This must be reported as a "Procedure One" Substantive Change prior to the point at which the 50% level is reached.
