Class of Spring 2017, Honors College
2017 Frost Scholarship
Razanne Oueini is one of three proud recipients of the 2017 Frost Scholarship, which is a prestigious scholarship offered only to the state of Florida's most exceptional students admitted to Oxford University. She is also a Spring 2017 graduate of the USF Honors College.
Razanne knows firsthand the tireless work it takes to achieve lofty goals. She fondly remembers her meetings with ONS in preparation for her Oxford interviews. "My positive experience with ONS was integral to becoming a competitive applicant and receiving the Frost Scholarship," she says. "I worked closely with Ms. Lauren Chambers while applying to the University of Oxford. She provided me with extensive feedback at every step of the application process, and set up mock interviews with Dean Adams and Dr. Basu prior to my interview with Oxford."
She feels her most notable achievement at USF was receiving the Frost Scholarship. "It culminated four years of hard work and gave me an unbelievable opportunity to achieve my goals," says Razanne.
She encourages other students to explore competitive scholarship opportunities early and often. "I highly recommend setting up an appointment with an ONS advisor. The advisors are incredibly valuable resources, and will help you learn how to become a competitive applicant."
After completing her graduate degree in Pharmacology at Oxford University, she plans to return to the United States and attend pharmacy school.
